Recruitment for the positions of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has been announced through CEPTAM-10/DRTC (Tech-A). Beginning at 10 a.m. IST on September 3, qualified individuals may submit their applications for the open positions via drdo.gov.in.
Precisely, 1075 positions for Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and 826 positions for Technician-A will be filled via this recruitment campaign (Tech-A). The deadline for applications is September 23. (5.00 p.m.).
Requirements for Eligibility
The minimum age is 18, and the max-age for applying is 28. The maximum period is subject to reduction for particular groups (Scientific, Technical, Social, Economic, and Disability).
Skillset Requirements:
- Level B Senior Technical Assistant Applicants: Must have a bachelor’s degree in science or a diploma in engineering/technology/computer science/allied topics in one of the following fields, as recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE): Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Library Science, Mathematics, MLT, Photography, Physics, Printing Technology, Psychology, Textile, and Zoology. Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics or Electronics & Comm. Or Electronics Telecomm.
- Tech-A (Technical Assistant): Xth Level pass or equivalent examination or Institute; and Certificate from a recognised Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or Certificate of minimum one-year duration from a recognised Institution if the ITI does not provide a valid Certificate or NTC or NAC in the provided required discipline in the following Trade: Automobile; Book Binder; Carpenter; CNC Operator; COPA; Draughtsman (Mechanical); DTP Operator; Electrician; Electronics; Fitter; Gr.
In the case of TECH-A (Technician-A), this means Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Certificate from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the required discipline; or Credential of the least one-year period from a recognised University in the necessary field if the Technical Education Institutes do not award a Certificate in that discipline; or National Trade Certificate in the required discipline; or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the discipline necessary; or 10th Class pass.
Candidates with advanced degrees (M.Sc., B.Tech., B.E., PhD, etc.) as of the eligibility deadline WILL NOT be considered for the position.

All women candidates are exempted; candidates who identify as SC/ST/ disabled/ economically disadvantaged/otherwise special needs are also exempted; candidates who identify as general/other are charged Rs 100/-.
All payments must be made via the website using a valid credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. Candidates are responsible for paying any service fees, such as those assessed by financial institutions.
